Starts small manufacturing company for tea chests in Jeypore, Assam
1964
Company started commercial production of plywood
1966
The company got a new identity and it was named as Duroply.
1969
The company ventured in door manufacturing and launched ‘Durobord’ and ‘DuroDoor’ brands
1974
Sarda Plywood became a deemed public limited company.
The company also launched a new product line - DuroTeak (Decorative Plywood)
1976
We achieved ISI certifications.
1980
The company added BWP and BWR Plywood for shuttering grade under brand DuroCon and for ship building under Duro Marine brand
1985
Becomes a public limited company on the BSE and CSE
1987
Duro Pumaply – premium all weather proof plywood – launched.
1990
Second Public Issue
The Assam unit became India’s largest plywood factory at a single location at Jeypore, India
1996
The company ventured into the Veneer business and begin marketing with Nature’s Signature brand.
1999
The company expanded wings and started operations in Rajkot, Gujarat.
2003
Tea unit became India’s largest tea manufacturing facility at that time
2005 - 2007
During these three years, new innovative brands were launched – Duro Titanium, Duro FabPly and DuroFlex.
2010
Introduced TechPly Door - an engineered flush door made with extruded particle board.
2012
The company strengthen its claim of being a forest-friendly company by achieving the FSC® (license code FSC-C108194) and supply FSC® certified products on request and E1 certifications.
2013
Became the ‘first company’ to manufacture and market plywood made from European Beech.
2014
The company opened its 20th office in India.
2017
Opening of Duro exclusive experience centre in New Delhi.
2018
Company is re-named to Duroply Industries Limited
2020
Divested the Tea business to focus on expansion in Plywood
2021
Becomes the first company to Launch 10’ range of plywood, boards, and doors under brand Duro Plus
2022
Raises 28 Crores through Preferential allotment of equity shares and warrants providing sufficient capital for future growth.
2023
Launch of Duro Beyond Blueprints podcast, as initiative to uncover the hidden gems of Architecture & Design.

Introduces DURO ADVANTAGE- Plywood ka naya standard
